Welkom op de website van The Allyway.

De Boxmeerse band The Allyway is opgericht in april 2013. Zelf nummers schrijven, zowel in het Engels als Nederlandstalig, daaraan sleutelen en schaven tijdens de wekelijkse repetities en af en toe op het podium laten zien waar dat toe leidt, dat is wat de vier gepassioneerde muzikanten beweegt. De akoestische en elektrische luistermuziek is moeilijk onder één noemer te vatten, maar komt nog het dichtst bij die van de Amerikaanse West Coast-sound uit de jaren zestig en zeventig. Belangrijke inspiratiebronnen zijn Neil Young, Bob Dylan, CS&N en The Eagles. The Allyway is echter niet te beroerd om zijpaden te bewandelen: een bluesnummer op zijn tijd of wat steviger werk, ook daar is het kwartet wel voor te porren. En als het nodig is, schrijven ze nummers voor speciale gelegenheden, zoals voor boekpresentaties en de Avond van de Columnist (2016 en 2017).

The Allyway bestaat uit: Janneke Willems (leadzang en drums), Geurt Franzen (sologitaar), Jos Strik (gitaar en backing vocals) en Niek Swart (bas).
